Our alternator kit mounts the alternator on the back side of the engine, keeping it out of the elements from the grill and wheel well. The alternator is a compact 90amp unit that is perfectly suited for a classic mini. The alternator is self exciting and has a fool proof one wire hook up. Simply attach the supplied cable from the alternator post to the battery cable connection on the starter and you are done, no other wiring required.
The kit includes the mounting bracket with belt tension adjuster, idler pully, 4 rib belt , and compact 90amp alternator with bespoke billet 6061 pully.
This alternator is designed around our subframe but can be made to work with others on the market although we cannot guarantee fitment.
Servicing of the alternator can be done under the car with the driver side (LHD) wheel removed.
Slight modification of the engine block is required to install this kit.
