No. 47 - A Series (1969)
Lot a small portion of our work is finishing tough projects. This car spent two decades at two different shops that lacked the expertise to complete the build.
It came to us with everything in boxes and we're excited to dig into another turbo project.
More to come as the project progresses.
No. 41 - A Series (1967)
We love working on mk1 minis. There is something about working on a car that has been around for over half a century.
To make sure we respect that heritage, we approached the design with respect to the era it came from. First idea was to add a black leather trim line around the shoulder that is reminiscent of luxury GT cars of the time. Next, the SMCO signature dash sits prominently in the car; in silver to add some coolness to the warm interior. Then, we chose Bentley Fawn, Dark Bourbon and Beluga Black for the custom appointed leather upholstery.
To keep up with the GT cars, a 1380cc power plant dyno'd at 95hp is installed along with brand new suspension and Quantum dampers.
We imagine this is something that could've been the result if Bentley built a version of their own mini.
